That is strange? Why would they do that?
Good point...Forgot about sales numbers not incorporating Digital Distribution...Oops :)
Well I guess Sony will release numbers themselves if it sells reasonably well.
I agree, sometimes it can seem out of place (like your wanted reference), but other times it can add to the legitimacy of the dialogue. Look at GTA4 for example, the dialogue is so much more believable because of the occasional 'swear word'. It's all about balance.
For once I'm actually interested in seeing the sale numbers for a game, the digital distribution model adopted by Sony in the NA market will be a good test case for the likely 'DD only model' of the PSP2.
Thanks for the info guys, I guess it isn't all bad, it was only a name right? All the creative people have populated those three other studios so I suppose that is better than one :)
Cheers
The Ensemble closure is one of the worst decisions made by Microsoft. After the awesome RTS that was Halo Wars, it's clear these guys are talented. Though I guess most of them moved onto that new studio?
I said this in another thread about Mass Effect, but I will say it again. It had the most dynamic dialogue options ever conceived for a videogame, I can't wait to see the continuation of the ME Universe.
No worries mate. I was the same with Lufia 2, played it first and it definitely left an impact.
If you do write that article, feel free to PM the link, would be happy to read it.
Have a good one. Cheers
Yeah, it is a strange situation given the usual occurrence of games going to the US and sometimes not making it to EU/Aus...
I suppose you do have the option of buying a converter to play PAL games on your SNES? I agree with emulation, it doesn't feel the same. :)
I always like having discussions with old school RPG fans, as it seems to be a niche genre. What other classic RPG's do you like? Secret of Mana is one of my favourite games of all time, Lufia II is another...
Whilst I enjoyed illusion of Gaia, Terranigma (imo) was head and shoulders above it. It is one of the greatest gaming experiences on the Snes.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this new update. From what I understand the update will introduce an algorithm that looks for 'red flags', which means over time it will start to recognise 'flamebait' articles from particular sites that constantly submit them cough HHG cough...
Yeah mate, there is something so special about Shenmue. For those who missed out on Shenmue at the time, I feel like they missed one of the most important games ever created, that type of experience happens once in a lifetime.
Mass Effect (imo) has the most dynamic and well executed dialogue in the history of videogames. I can't wait for the sequel.
Anyone remember the QTE style punching game in the Arcade ;)
I was like 50th in the world at one point, god the dreamcast was ahead of its time, online components were unheard of back then...
RIP Dreamcast :(
Why did you bring up FFX?
Shenmue is a masterpiece, everyone who experienced it at the time will say the same thing, there will never be another Shenmue...
I hope this is true, I will pick up a PS3 as soon as that price drops. Wonder if it would translate to a significant price drop in Aus though? Of course, if it actually happens...
I'm not saying this is bad news per say, but is anyone else concerned that Devs feel they HAVE to add a mulitplayer component? From what I understand, Uncharted was one of those great single player experiences, why do they have to add mulitplayer to everything? I feel the same about Bioshock 2...
Well it's out as of today in Australia, 23rd of June in the US, and a TBA 2009 release in Europe...What a strange release schedule, I'm not complaining though as I live in Aus ;)
This game looks fantastic, I think I might have to pick it up.
Sorry I should add, the article itself was fine, it was more the implications of the pic :)
I have never witnessed a decent article from Examiner... It's always, what game beats another, what is wrong with a certain console, yada yada? Lame...
